  • "I recently went on a World Yacht cruise and I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it. Firstly however I want you to know that I was born and raised in NYC and have gone on  The Circle Line on a number of times so I should not have been so surprised by what I found on The World Yacht cruise. But I was! I had never cruised around NYC at night so I was so impressed by the magnificent views. Of course the weather was grand and NYC had something to do with that. It really felt like a cruise from the moment we boarded the ship.

The staff was so courteous and the food really surprised me as I was expecting routine 'institutional' type fare. It was a meal as befitting a really good restaurant. After dinner everyone was dancing and really seemed to be having a wonderful time. I really feel that everyone in NYC should experience your cruise line. Not only is it a great idea for a special occasion but a GREAT idea for a date. I intend to tell lots of people to consider this as an alternative to more prosaic nights out."

  • "I have never written a letter of thanks to a company before. However, my recent excursion with World Yacht impels me to thank you for the wonderful experience I recently had on one of your harbor cruises. The moment our group of four couples altogether stepped on board ship, we all immediately felt as if we were on vacation. The crew was so welcoming that they set the tone for a happy and serene evening. The cares of the day literally melted away.

Our elegantly appointed table was waiting for us and it afforded us the luxury of intimate and joyful conversation. The wait staff was attentive but unobtrusive. Even before the yacht left the dock, we were offered lovely drinks and hors-d’oevres. It was definitely a party at which we felt pampered and well cared for. The dinner menu offered such fine selections, all definitely haute cuisine.

The joy of going on deck between courses cannot be adequately described. As the ship moved smoothly in the currents of the magnificent Hudson, we watched the lights of the breath-taking New York skyline on one side and the luminous colors of the sunset on the other. As the sky darkened we could not fail to be inspired as we sailed so close to the Statue of Liberty that was illuminated in golden light. As we continued to sail we were caressed by gentle breezes and lulled by the lapping of the waves. Adding to the good feeling was the wonderful dance music. How romantic it was to dance on board what we felt was our own personal yacht!

It was hard to leave when the ship slipped back into harbor. The dockside parking was no small consolation as we made our way back home feeling that we had been far, far away. I can’t wait until next time!"

    Sincerely,
    Michael Fox, Ph.D.

  • "I wanted to write you the day after our dinner cruise on the World Yacht. Janet and I went on board not exactly sure what to expect.  However, from the moment we had our picture taken at the gangplank until we disembarked almost three hours later, our expectations were exceeded every step of the way.

The staff were incredibly professional, friendly and helpful. The service was spot on. The food was up to four star standards . . . and there was plenty of it.

And then there's the ambiance and spectacular views of New York City, New Jersey, and Brooklyn. As we smoothly cruised along the East River, we watched the Manhattan skyline light up against the backdrop of a spectacular red sky as the sun set. The open top deck of the World Yacht is the best place in New York to appreciate the graceful beauty of the Brooklyn Bridge. Who would have thought a bridge could be so romantic!

The highlight of our evening came when the ship circled around the Statue of Liberty, giving all on board a 360 degree view of Lady Liberty as well as numerous photo ops.

As our cruise came to an end, we left the ship exhilarated, full of good food, and in the mood for romance. We headed home. Need I say more.

It was a perfect evening with a happy ending! What more could one ask for?

    Thanks again!

    My Best.

  • "Yesterday my extended family was on board the Duchess for the Brunch Cruise. It was a most wonderful experience. The relaxed casual but elegant setting and the wide range of exquisitely prepared foods in the buffet were exceptional. The most wonderful part was that no one in our family had the pressure to be host or hostess. We were all able to relax, to talk, to laugh , and to feel pampered, without any of us having to cook, refill glasses, or make sure everyone had all they needed.

As a librarian I think a luncheon or dinner cruise would be a wonderful venue for a professional association meeting. Do you charter your boats for such purposes? If so, kindly have someone contact me with particulars.

Thank you so much for a wonderful time. I look forward to hearing from you."

    Sincerely yours,

  • "On behalf of everyone at Oxford University Press, I would like to thank you and everyone associated with World Yacht for the wonderful staff party we had on June 22. The service was impeccable. Our president, who has only been with us since February, was extremely impressed and hasn’t stopped thanking me!

Please extend my sincere thanks to all the staff who were patient, helpful, and extremely efficient. I have already given your name to a couple of people who are looking to hold corporate and private events in the future, and I will continue to praise World Yacht to whoever will listen, for a long time to come."
